Going through any family court case is rarely desirable, especially for someone who is a new parent that has little to no knowledge of the conservatorship process. Add this along with the constant anxiety of if you're doing the right thing as a parent and you got yourself a slight rocky road ahead of you, but not one that is undrivable. Mrs. Kathy from the get go was so very professional and has an amazing southern hospitality about her, I had hired her to handle my divorce and I have to say I was not disappointed!! The combination of Mrs. Kathy and her assistant Ashly cannot be beat! I was so pleased that even though my divorce is final I still keep Mrs. Kathy on retainer just incase I have to for lack of a better term let the dogs out! Mrs White and her entire team are beyond wonderful. I was exhausted and ready to give up when I called and bless her heart she made it all right. She cared about my kids and their well being above all else. She was fair in all she did, was honest and truthful with me and never pushed me to do anything I wasn’t comfortable with. She took the time to explain everything to me and made sure I understood 100%. Her team is amazing and gave more than 110% on everything. They took the time to get to know me and my kids and who we were as people. Mrs white and her team are a rare find in that field because they care deeply for their clients and make sure that they know it. I could give so many examples of how Mrs White and Ashley consoled me, kept me sane, moving forward and always treated me like I was the #1 client every time I called. I was facing a custody dispute with my two-year old son's mother, we had an agreed order in place originally, split custody where she got Mon/Tues nights, I got Wed/Thurs nights, and we alternated weekends. It was a great arrangement for both of us and the best scenario for our son. His mom was still bitter over our past relationship and less than a year into our arrangement she became upset with me and filed a motion to modify. I'm an attorney (with family law experience) and was comfortable discussing the proposed modification pro-se, with her attorney. After a couple months of back and forth we reached an agreement, no change in our custody arrangement, basically no change at all except that she wanted the ability to have me drug tested, which I was fine with. All that was left was signatures. Then mom became upset with me about something totally unrelated, backed out of the proposed agreement, fired her attorney, hired a new one, AND FILED FOR A PROTECTIVE ORDER. She was not only seeking full custody now, she was trying to keep me from seeing my son for at least two years. I was shocked and quite frankly scared to death. It was completely frivolous, but who knows what the judge would believe. I was served with the protective order out of the blue, after work on a Wednesday during Spring Break of 2022. I called two attorneys the next day, both were on vacation. Immediately panic mode set in and here I was, facing a temporary ex parte protective order and was basically representing myself in a case that could ultimately end up in me not being able to see my only son for AT LEAST two years... by the grace of God I came across Kathy White's profile on one of these websites. She was from the same hometown as me, so I figured what the heck, I called and spoke with her assistant. I told her my story and they immediately set up an online consultation for the following day. I was nervous as anyone could ever be, it was awful. I couldn't sleep or eat or think of anything else other than the possibility of losing my son. The next day came and as soon – and I mean AS SOON as my meeting with Ms. White began – I started to feel at ease. By the end of our short, 30-minute meeting, I was elated. I knew I’d found the right person to represent me. From that point on, I was still stressed and concerned as anyone should be, but I was confident in my attorney and her representation of me. Long story short, the protective order was dismissed, DISMISSED, and after mediation, an agreement as to the modification was reached. No change in custody. No child support (I had already agreed to cover costs of all medical and daycare pursuant to the original agreement with mom). Even the drug testing, which I was fine with originally, was included so as to require both of us, not just me, to submit to drug testing upon the request of the other party. It was long, and arduous, but in the end, my custody situation was better off than when it started, and my relationship with my son’s mom is actually better now than it was when we first split up. Kathy White did the dirty work for me, without even playing dirty. She just did her job, a GREAT freaking job, and I owe so much to her and her staff for it. I couldn’t recommend a better advocate, especially for someone who, like me, is scared to death of losing the right to be with their children. Call Kathy White, seriously.

I have dealt with multiple family lawyers over the past few years concerning custody of my children, and none have been as effective as Kathy and her team have. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field. Her paralegals and her secretary’s were very quick to respond to any problems I had. My previous lawyer had been very hard to get in touch with when I had questions, and Kathy and her team were very involved and consistently contacted me with new information on my case. Even after hours they would take my calls and respond to emails. Kathy is very tough and does not waiver in the face of the opposing counsel. She is very reasonably priced based on the quality of work she provides. Kathy and the women that work for her are extremely hard working and dedicated to their client’s need. She is the only lawyer who I have hired that seemed to genuinely care about my children and I.

We were desperate for help after dealing with a lawyer for over a year who just did not really help us with our case at all to get our son out of a bad situation. Best attorney out there!!!  Completely committed to her clients in every way and is always overly prepared for anything thrown at her!! My ex wife tried to get custody of my kids because she wanted child support and Kathy made sure I kept my kids and my ex ended up paying me child support.  Those are both almost impossible tasks and she fought tooth and nail for me and my kids until we won!!!  Can't say enough great things about her and would recommend her to anyone!!

When I walked into Kathys office I was desperate for help I had two attorneys prior that couldn’t finish my divorce they told me this guys is too much of a criminal too smart too this or that, We can’t. That’s all they ever said. they never had a drive to get it.  No matter my outcry for help, my desperation to live in peace was in their hands and they just withdrew.  Even AVDA declined to help they told me a woman in family violence has to go through the cycle 7 times in order to get out, I was not ready to go 7 times to hell for someone to help me stay safe and keep my kids safe, I knew I had to be strong for my kids and I felt like this was a war I couldn’t fight.  So I asked around for a attorney with a drive to win a drive to fight for a single mother and two toddlers. And I was guided to Kathy White. Kathy told me. I promise I will get you divorce. It won’t be easy but you will be divorced.  I went through a roll a coaster of emotions through this whole process, but Kathy NEVER gave up!! Many times I told my self Give up you can’t win this he is way too powerful, but when I would share my concerns she said I will never let you give up, Kathy encourage me to keep going, we went through every natural devastation but in the end I can say she kept her promise and I’m walking a free woman. holding my Head up high with a divorce that many attorneys knew it was hell and declined to help others just simple gave up.  Kathy and her team did it knowing all the challenges.

Kathy was a great choice! She was able to get me time with my son when my ex wife would not let me see him. Even on vacation she still returned emails, phone calls and was able to file the paper work for me to see him. In mediation she was very informative in what I should expect and fought for things I wanted. I would definitely use Kathy for any family law or estate planning needs.

I hired Kathy White to assist me with getting a divorce finalized that I had been dragging feet on. I knew that I could file the divorce myself but I really didn't feel comfortable doing so and I really didn't want to hassle with. I also wanted my name changed back to my maiden name and had no idea where to start on that. Kathy was very knowledgeable and professional from the beginning of the process and all the way thru. Mrs. Kathy White, wow... Just wow... From our very first meeting she was able to take an emotional subject (my divorce), give comfort, listen, and clearly lay out what I could expect from having her, Kathy, representing me. I told her what I wanted to happen with the divorce, and she did everything she could to make it happen. She kept me calm and let me know each step of the process. 

When needed, Kathy was aggressive in protecting my interest.

Kathy White did an absolutely amazing job on my case.  

It started with me getting called to court by the AG’s office wanting to give my ex-wife more  child support, even though my sons lived with me, and I was on my own and looked like I wasn’t going to win even though my kids lived with me and not her.  

Then I found Mrs. White, and it went from a nightmare, to me getting my child support stopped, and her paying me child support.  

She also won me (THE DAD) FULL custody of both of my kids! 

I have never been happier with a lawyer and can’t say enough how much I recommend her to ANYONE. 

If you need a lawyer, or not even sure if you do need a lawyer, she’s the one you need to go see!

Mrs. White is an awesome lawyer, she was so helpful in handling my case, I was so stressed over the whole ordeal, 

but she explained to me the options we were faced with and the legal options to take.

Ms. Kathy worked on my divorce case, she was the primary attorney handling my case, as my ex-wife and I attempted to come to an agreement on my son's custody and financial matters in our divorce mediation. I usually do not write reviews, but I wanted to express my appreciation for everything that Ms. Kathy did for me. She was always present, available, and provided me the room to share my experience and what was important to me. Ms. Kathy was able to provide me with guidance based on her expertise, an honest assessment of my case, which was not always easy to hear but I always found it useful to know where I stood and what to expect. Ms. Kathy was caring and was determined to fight for what was important to me, custody of my son, and she was able to negotiate in mediation joint custody of my son with all rights split 50/50, which any father who lives in Texas and is going through a divorce knows it is not easy to get. Ms. Kathy was available 24/7, 7 days a week, was available on her vacation to Costa Rica as unfortunately it overlapped with the closing on my house, she was available to talk to the realtor and protect my interests in the transaction, at the expense of her vacation. Ms. Kathy was always available to talk, to listen, to commensurate with me and what I was going through, at times having to be more of a counselor than a lawyer, walking me through different situations and how to handle them, and for all this I will always be grateful that she was part of my life and this difficult experience. On more practical matters, she was able to work with me and how much she charged me for her services, help that made it easier for me to survive through a lengthy and expansive process. Regardless of the money, her help was immeasurable and it is important to have someone who is on your side in difficult moments in life. Thank you Ms. Kathy for everything that you did for me, thank you for giving me the opportunity to spend time with my son, I own you the fact that he is in my life every week. I had to redo a QDRO from my divorce 10 years ago and it needed to be handled fast. I had no idea where to go to get this done and what all it would entail. My divorce attorney referred me to Kathy to resubmit the QDRO. Kathy was friendly, easy to communicate with and very thorough and transparent about all the steps involved to get this done. She communicated with me  every step of the way and updated me regularly, even while on vacation. I am so relieved I am finally getting this taken care of and she has made something that was stressful and daunting and turned it into a breeze for me.
